PRESIDENT’S INSTALLATION MESSAGE

Thank you for electing me President, Western Branch LIONS Club, for LIONS’ Year 2008-2009.  I am honored and I hope I will survive it.

We have made many changes this year and I think the reorganization of the club will allow the club to grow even stronger in the future. We have an active and creative Board of Directors that will challenge our club to reach new levels of achievement.

We need to focus on getting all our members to participate, communicate and introduce friends to Lionism.

Participation means all members joining in on projects, fundraisers, meetings, fellowship and other social events. This is the “fun” part! We get to know others and help those in need at the same time!

Communication simply means keeping in touch. We can find out what our club and others are doing by reading our bulletin, the Knights Vision, and the Lion’s magazine. (Did you know we even have a website???) We also need to keep up on our community activities to see if we can find other ways we can help.

District Governor Doug’s goals are for every President, Secretary and Cabinet Member to bring in one new guest.  I already have one perspective member, Lyla, that will join us officially in July. She is anxious to get involved and we are happy to have her help!

Now, I challenge the rest of our members to find someone who would also like to get involved and just needs to be asked!

And last, remember our motto “We Serve”. Let’s all jump in and make this the best year ever for Western Branch Lions! I am going to need everyone’s support and when you are asked, please say “YES”.
